Ranveer Singh and Prasanth Varma have amicably parted ways on the `Rakshas` project. The director will now restart the casting process. Despite this change, the film is still expected to begin production as planned

Previously, Mythri Production had announced their collaboration with Prasanth Varma and Ranveer Singh for a major, big-budget project. The team had released an official statement saying, "Yes it`s true that Prasanth approached Ranveer for a film in his cinematic universe. It will be his immediate next project after HanuMan. Ranveer is interested and it`s almost confirmed but nothing is finalized yet."
