In 2012, Satish, at the age of 56, welcomed his daughter Vanshika after 18 years of marriage. Vanshika was born through a surrogate mother. For the unversed, in 1996, the veteran actor lost his two-year-old son Sanu Kaushik

Last year, Satish Kaushik shared a picture and heartfelt note on her daughter`s birthday. He wrote, "Vanshika my dearest daughter wishing u a Happy Birthday . U are 10 now and in these ten years u hv given us happiness calmness and joy . Life was so empty before u arrived but ur arrival this day made us jestful meaningful and more energetic. May god bless u always. Lv."

In an interview, Satish Kaushik said that he could not even mourn the loss of his son. He said that he was at the peak of his career and his work commitments kept him so busy that he did not get the space to process the death of his son. However, when he welcomed his daughter, he was a changed man as she stopped attending parties, became calmer and spent more time with his daughter
