Legendary veteran actor Sulochana Latkar, who was a prominent figure in the Hindi and Marathi film industry, passed away on Sunday, June 4. The actor who was undergoing treatment for a prolonged age-related illness at a Mumbai hospital, breathed her last at the age of 94. While the news of Latkar`s passing away has sent shockwaves through the Hindi, as well as, the Marathi film industry, it has also saddened the entire country. Her funeral took place on Monday, June 5 (today) in Mumbai. The late actor was given full state honours wrapped in the Tricolour. From CM Eknath Shinde to Raj Thackeray and from Jackie Shroff to Sachin Pilgaonkar, several notable personalities from the world of politics and the film industry arrived at the late actor`s residence to pay their last respects to the departed soul.
