"He passed away at 6.55 am peacefully in his sleep at the residence. He has been unwell since quite some time. He had multiple organ failure," Khote's niece, actor Bhavana Balsavar, told PTI.

Viju Khote was also seen in television shows like Zabaan Sambhal Ke and some others. He had also done many celebrated plays in Marathi theatre. Viju Khote was last seen in the 2018 film Jaane Kyun De Yaaron.
