Telugu superstar Junior NTR paid homage to Puneeth Rajkumar. He was accompanied by KGF Director Prashanth Neel. Junior NTR stood for a while looking at the mortal remains of Puneeth and later, hugged Puneeth`s elder brother, Shiva Rajkumar. The Telugu actor also consoled Shiva Rajkumar who was in tears. He too broke down while consoling him. Junior NTR shared a special bond with Puneeth`s family.

He used to attend all programmes that invited him. He had donated his eyes. We have met many times at Lepakshi along with Shivrajkumar, his elder brother. He had entertained people as an artiste. Puneeth will live eternally in our hearts," he said. Balakrishna wept while paying his last respects and also consoled Shiva Rajkumar, Puneeth`s elder brother.

Prabhudeva too was inconsolable and said that Puneeth was too young to die. "He is a gem of a person. I recently shot a song for him. My father was in tears after hearing about the news of Puneeth`s death. He wondered whether it was true," he said.

Rana Daggubati too arrived at the Kanteerava Stadium to pay homage to the Powerstar of Kannada cinema. "Gone too soon brother!! Extremely shocked and saddened," Rana had earlier tweeted.

KGF star Yash was also seen paying his last respects at Kanteerava Stadium. Owing to the swerving crowd, the Karnataka government announced on Saturday that the cremation of late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar will be held on Sunday morning and the timings will be decided later.

The police force is trying hard to contain the situation. The authorities have however, banned the public from observing the last rites.
