Buoyed by exit polls, AAP says first big state can be proving ground to show the country what it can do without ‘Centre’s intervention’

Excited by exit polls, most of which have predicted a clear majority for the Aam Aadmi Party in the Punjab Assembly elections, the Arvind Kejriwal-led outfit is confident that Thursday’s results will be its perfect gateway to the future. The party had won 20 seats in the 117-member Punjab Assembly five years ago, a distant second from Congress’s 77 wins.
