On the second day of Central Railway`s 63-hour mega block, work is underway to widen Platform 5/6 at Thane station and extend Platform 10/11 at CSMT to accommodate 24-coach trains, according to CR on Saturday.

The 63-hour mega block, which began at midnight on Thursday, has had a severe impact on suburban services along CR`s main corridor, causing thousands of commuters to be inconvenienced, reported PTI.
