Declare public holiday in Mumbai on December 6: Varsha Gaikwad writes to Maha CM

Mumbai Congress chief Varsha Gaikwad has written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde urging him to declare a public holiday in the city on December 6 on the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, also known as Mahaparinirvana Day

Mumbai Congress chief Varsha Gaikwad has written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde urging him to declare a public holiday in the city on December 6 on the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, also known as Mahaparinirvana Day.

The Mumbai Congress chief demanded that a holiday be declared for government as well as private offices in Mumbai. Gaikwad said the announcement would allow every follower of Dr Ambedkar to visit the Chaityabhoomi to pay respects on his birth anniversary.
