Mumbai: 2 die after glass-washing lift falls from 17th floor of Worli high-rise

ADR registered, local alleges similar incident had occurred before but cops didn’t do anything

Two workers died after a glass-washing lift collapsed from the 17th floor of a recently built Worli high-rise, Avighna House, on Monday evening. The Worli police have registered an accidental death report (ADR) in connection with the incident and are probing the matter.

“We received information about the lift collapse at 4.10 pm. A team rushed to the spot and found two injured persons. They were rushed to the BMC-run Nair hospital where both were declared dead on arrival,” said Anil Koli, senior inspector of Worli police station.
