From redevelopment issues to traffic woes: south Mumbai voters demand long-term solutions

The South Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency comprises six Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) segments, including Worli, Shivadi (Sewri), Byculla, Malabar Hill, Mumbadevi, and Colaba. It will witness a showdown between the two Senas-Shiv Sena (UBT) two-time sitting MP Arvind Sawant and Shinde Sena’s sitting Byculla MLA Yamini Jadhav. The constituency is crucial because it has high-profile MLAs from both sides like Aaditya Thackeray and Mangal Prabhat Lodha and the constituency profile is made up of some of the richest citizens to slum dwellers to the Kolis, the city’s original inhabitants. The richest constituency will witness a battle between the two Senas.
