On Wednesday morning, a fire broke out at a closed chemical factory in Dombivli area of Thane district, said officials. The chief of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation`s disaster management cell Dipak Nikam told PTI that no casualty had been reported thus far and that there was an explosion at the chemical factory. 

Nikam, told the news agency that thick smoke billowed from the chemical factory and was visible from a long distance.
