Katkar, who is overseeing rescue and relief work at the site, told the media the occupants of huts and other residents of the locality ran out of their homes after the fire.

Recently, in similar incident, a fire broke out at Pise water pumping station which charred 20 pumps thereby hitting the water supply of Mumbai.
