It was a close encounter between the two sides but Indian batters have only themselves to blame.&nbsp; A poor batting performance by India saw them going down against a gritty England side by 11 runs. The only bright spot for India, on the batting front, was Smriti Mandhana, who scored 52 runs off 41 balls.&nbsp; But she ran out of partners and perished while going for another big hit.&nbsp;That`s all for tonight.&nbsp;

Eccelstone does the job pretty well, as she gives away only three runs off her penultimate over and dismisses Deepti Sharma. India can no way win from here. 31 runs needed off last 6 balls.&nbsp;

Sadly, a six won`t do the job here. Ghosh hits it big but manages only 9 runs off the 18th over. England is on the cusp of bagging two points tonight. 34 needed from the last two overs.

What a massive turnaround of fates it has been tonight! Indeed, one never truly knows the outcome of a match until the last over is played. How quickly things changed when it just seemed India may walk away with an easy victory! Sciver Brunt bowls an economical spell, yielding not more than 4 runs off the 17th over. The onus now lies on Richa, if she is to take the risk and go for the much-needed aerial shots on almost every ball from here.

Things look all but over for India here. An impatient Mandhana hits an elegant six but quickly falls prey to Glenn`s attack and heads back for 52. Richa has to lead from here, as India is reeling at 105/4 with an 11.75 required run rate.&nbsp;

Things don`t look good for Kaur &amp; Co. The fiery start to the innings did little help to give India the edge. The required run rate is well over 11 at the moment and India is still way far to their target. Only boundaries and sixes could be a saviour.

Richa joins the party! Smacks consecutive boundaries off Sciver Brunt. India need 60 runs to win from 32 balls.

Three runs come off Glenn`s over. The game is slipping away from India and who knows the women might be in the hunt for some gigantic shots in the next over to reduce the run rate. Looks difficult, but certainly not impossible.

Mandhana is trying very hard to make her own luck to reclaim India`s grip on the match. India is in need of a remarkable 20-run over to come back stronger on the field. 88 needed off 54 balls.&nbsp;

That`s a wicket! Sophie Ecclestone catches a big fish in her net, England seems to have tightened their grip in this innings. Kaur misjudges the timing and unable to resist the temptation, goes for a giant shot and is caught by Capsey. Mandhana is the only set batter and has the flamboyant Richa Ghosh for company. India 62/3 in 10.2 overs.

India loses Jemimah Rodrigues. The lanky all-rounder failed to create an impact with the bat after a flop show against West Indies on Wednesday. She attempted a risky aerial shot and the ball fell in the hands of Katherine Brunt. Glenn provides England with a much-required breakthrough in the 9th over.

Oh no, just when things got better for India, England appears to come back stronger. Shafali departs. Well, she misused the lifeline. After having been dropped off the 4th ball, this time England is cautious enough to trap Verma who mistimed the length and hit it high up in the air. Brunt doesn`t lose focus, and Shafali is out. India is 29/1 after 3 overs.

Wow! India starts off on a fiery note. Mandhana hits some nicely-timed shots toward the boundary line. Breathing quite the fire, the right-handed batter. Shafali Verma in strike!

Deepti is called in to bowl the penultimate over of the innings. It goes on slowly and steadily, as she gives away only 2 runs off the first two deliveries. But no, here comes a quick turnaround. Ecclestone hits Sharma for a giant six, oh no, Amy joins in and smashes another big one! Two back-to-back sixes, England brings up 151/7 in 20 overs.&nbsp;

Amy Jones settling in well as she places the ball in the right places to collect as many fours as necessary. Radha Yadav proves costly for India as the match appears to have tilted more in favour of the English batters. OUT! Just when it seemed all dull and dingy for Women in Blue. The big fish Brunt gone.

England goes all guns blazing. Nat Sciver Brunt brings up fifty in 41 balls, England 118/3 in 16.3 overs.&nbsp;

That`s a rather slow delivery bowled by Vastrakar. Sciver Brunt pulls it to deep midwicket for a single run and brings up a century for England!

Gayakwad called in as India goes for attack in the hope of more wickets. Knight, known for her aggressive batting approach, slams two boundaries. This is not the start Gayakwad would have wanted. That`s four runs from the last two deliveries.

After a series of dismissals, Brunt stands tall on 30* against a mighty bowling attack. She has Heather Knight who is also set in the crease with 23 off 20 balls. Could the duo steady the innings and make it a fight-worthy total?

Deepti Sharma runs in to bowl the 8th over. Veteran Pandey proved economical in her spell that saw her yield only 3 runs. Here comes a chance for a run-out. Umpire goes for a review. Luck doesn&rsquo;t favour India, Nat dances down the crease for the next ball and smashes a beautiful boundary.

Renuka is on fire! The ball swings in but Dunkley little expected it would go this farther. As a result, she misses her line and the ball rattles her stumps much to Renuka`s delight. India piling up the pressure onto English top order, nothing seems to work in their favour now.

Renuka goes for a review for LBW, UltraEdge confirms it was wide but clearly misses the leg stump. The last ball of the 3rd over finishes in a single.

Oh, this doesn`t look pretty! England lose another wicket in quick succession. This time it is Renuka again. Thakur brilliantly pitches it up, misleads Capsey as the ball rattles the stumps in no time. What a beginning!&nbsp;
