It is impossible to divorce the name Virat Kohli from contemporary Indian cricket, thanks to the many unprecedented heights he has reached in recent years. This is not fact up for debate. And while few of us have the insight to know what it takes to make it to the top tier of any sport, we as a country certainly feel empowered to share our opinions when a cricketer who has enjoyed exalted status falters from his pedestal. It is not possible to talk about the man and player Kohli is today without a mention of his wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma. Anushka took to her Instagram story on Sunday to pen a sweet note for Virat Kohli after he scored his 28th Test century in the ongoing fourth and final Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. She said that he always manages to inspire her. Her note read, "Playing through sickness with this composure. Inspiring me always" followed by a red heart emoji.

Anushka, much on the expected lines, came out in support of him and wrote, `Have experienced few incidents where some fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past but this really is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being and anyone who sees this and thinks celebrity ho! Toh deal karna padega should know that you are also part of the problem. Exercising some self-control helps everyone. Also if this is happening in your bedroom then where is the line?`

As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement.” He added, “Her outlook toward life was different and it urged me to change for the better and become more accepting of things.`
