PM Modi is in Egypt on a 2-day visit. On the second and final day of his maiden State visit to Egypt, the Indian Prime minister paid a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza in Cairo. Visuals showed Modi taking a tour of the pyramids. PM Modi is in Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Earlier in the day, he met President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, signed MOU and was conferred with the `Order of the Nile` award in Cairo by the Egyptian President. The "Order of the Nile" is Egypt`s highest state honour.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a 2-day visit to Egypt. On June 24, the PM interacted with the Bohra Community members in Egypt’s Cairo. This meeting with the Bohra community members came ahead of his visit to Cairo’s historic Al-Hakim Mosque on June 25th. The mosque was restored with the help of India’s Dawoodi Bohra community. Modi’s visit to Egypt is the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Egypt in 26 years. PM Modi is in Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
