This decision comes in the wake of a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into a disturbing case involving the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the same hospital earlier this month. The IMA President announced that Dr. Ghosh`s suspension was a response to the severe damage his actions had inflicted on the reputation of the medical profession. The suspension underscores the IMA`s commitment to maintaining professional integrity and addressing serious allegations that tarnish the image of the medical community. Amid the ongoing rage over Kolkata Rape Horror, CBI has swing into action after the Calcutta HC transferred Kolkata rape-murder case to CBI. Former Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh arrived at CBI office for 4th consecutive day on August 19. Sandip Ghosh is being questioned in connection with ongoing probe into Trainee Doctor’s rape and murder case. Earlier, the investigation agency has interrogated nursing staffs, ward boy and security guards working at RG Kar Hospital.
