Now in a latest update, the Supreme Court declined petitions to cancel and reconduct NEET-UG 2024, stating no widespread exam breaches occurred. The court emphasized the significant repercussions of cancelling and reorganizing the exams. Despite acknowledging paper leaks in Hazaribagh and Patna, the apex court found no systemic irregularities affecting the overall exam. Petitioners expressed disappointment, calling the decision heartbreaking. NEET-UG is a crucial exam for medical admissions, and concerns about paper leakage and malpractices prompted the petitions. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare delayed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) Examination on June 22, originally slated for June 23, promising a future announcement of a new date. On the 21st of June, 6 accused were arrested in connection with UG NEET case, being taken from LNJP hospital, Patna after their medical examination.
