Bollywood assembled to watch Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar’s docuseries ‘Angry Young Men’. Directed by Namrata Rao, the docuseries promises an in-depth look into the legendary creative duo`s impact on the film industry. Popular lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar marked his presence with his wife and actor Shabana Azmi. Salman Khan’s father and screenwriter Salim Khan graced the premiere in a casual yet stylish avatar. Riteish Deshmukh arrived in his casual yet comfy outfit. Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Salman Khan recently unveiled the trailer for Angry Young Men. During the event, Zoya and Farhan delved into the reasons behind the abrupt end of the blockbuster writing duo Salim-Javed`s collaboration. They also shared their favorite film written by Salim-Javed. The pair penned 24 films together, 22 of which were major hits, including Sholay, Don, Zanjeer, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Deewar, Haathi Mere Saathi, Seeta Aur Geeta, and Trishul. Their work was pivotal in establishing Amitabh Bachchan`s "Angry Young Man" persona in the 1970s. Echoing the title, their upcoming docu-series is named Angry Young Men. The series features interviews with stars like Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, and Amitabh Bachchan, and will be released on Amazon Prime Video on August 20.
