A massive fire broke out in an eatery at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus railway station on 13th December. The blaze erupted in the Jan Aahar canteen on platform number 1 of the LTT station at 2.45 pm. The fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire by 3:30 pm. The passengers were evacuated from the station and two vehicles of the fire brigade rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The video of the incident circulated on the social media in which black smoke rising above the roof of the railway station could be seen. Officials said that nobody has been injured in the incident of LTT Railway Station Fire.

Even as restrictions continue amid what looks like an abating second Covid-19 wave in the city, thousands of passengers arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, have been leaving the premises without the state-mandated screening or testing. In addition, several people who are asked to wait for the process escape via the numerous exits at the station. Watch this video for more
