BJP candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha seat, actor Kangana Ranaut slammed Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Shakti’ remarks and said Rahul Gandhi wanted to destroy ‘Shakti’, She also asked who writes such speeches for Rahul Gandhi. Speaking to Midday, Mandi BJP candidate, Kangana Ranaut said "...Rahul Gandhi says he wants to destroy `Shakti`. Who writes such speeches for him?...I want the people of Mandi to answer those who have spoken indecently about women...People of India have always blessed me..."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on February 08 in the Upper House of the Parliament. He praised his contribution to the country.
