In a shocking incident captured on video, a Dalit woman and her minor kin were brutally assaulted at the GRP Police Station in Katni, Madhya Pradesh, sparking widespread outrage. The October 2023 footage shows a woman in civilian clothes mercilessly beating the woman with a stick, while uniformed police officers later join in. The video shows the woman`s teenage kin being restrained and severely beaten by four policemen. The brutal scene has led to significant public outcry. In response, the station in-charge has been transferred, and a DIG-level officer has been assigned to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
