Filmmaker Tahira Kashyap, Lisa Ray, Rakesh Roshan, and Mahima Chaudhary triumphed over breast cancer, multiple myeloma, and throat cancer, respectively. Anurag Basu defied a dire prognosis of blood cancer in 2004, while Sonali Bendre and Sanjay Dutt confronted metastatic cancer and lung cancer, respectively.
