Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently launched the biography of his late co-star and friend Smita Patil on the occasion of her 60th birthday in Mumbai.

Ace director Mahesh Bhatt has said that new generation actresses, including Alia Bhatt, are able to maintain the right balance between commercial and parallel cinema just like yesteryear actress Smita Patil.
